Northshore Emergency Center opened in 2011. We are filling the need for high quality, 24/7 emergency care close to home for Northshore residents. Our 10,000-square-foot facility in Portland, TX offers an answer for patients who previously had to cross the Harbor Bridge into Corpus Christi for emergency treatment, diagnostic services, or imaging needs.

We strive to provide expert care that is both easily accessible and friendly. As part of HCA Corpus Christi Medical Center, we are accredited by the Joint Commission. Our larger network provides patients with peace of mind knowing they have found care in a system that can provide it for them, whether for a minor injury or major surgery.

Our Physicians

All of the physicians who practice at Northshore Emergency Center are board certified and subscribe to the philosophy of providing emergency care quickly, appropriately, and with a friendly bedside manner.

Part of Corpus Christi Medical Center

Northshore Emergency Center is a campus of Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC). Founded in 1962, Corpus Christi Medical Center has spent more than 50 years caring for the residents of Corpus Christi and its surrounding communities. Corpus Christi Medical Center campuses include:

The access to so many high quality facilities means easier transfers and shorter wait times should a higher level of care become necessary.

Like all emergency departments of Corpus Christi Medical Center, Northshore Emergency Center charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room.  The hospital will bill your insurance company or health benefits plan for services rendered to you.

Part of Your Northshore Community

Northshore Emergency Center is proud to be a part of this community. We are here 24/7, when you need emergency treatment. But we are also here to serve the community, our schools, businesses and other organizations. Emergency care is what we do, but we want to be a part of what keeps our community healthy.

Northshore ER has sponsored first aid booths for the Portland Sunset Challenge and provided PSA screenings at local health fairs. We are working actively with local chambers of commerce and with EMS first responders on emergency preparedness and hazardous material drills. We also have a speakers bureau available to speak on first aid, health education and health careers.
